Hawaii Recent Arrests is a private reference service, not a government office. We cannot confirm who is in custody, provide or remove official booking photos, post bond, or retrieve government records. For an authoritative answer, use the office or public system that holds the record.
Find the Record Holder
The right contact depends on who created the record and where the person is in the process. Hawaiʻi does not have one public statewide county-arrest roster, so begin with the record type and the responsible custodian.
- County arrest or booking: Use the County Directory to select Hawaiʻi County, Honolulu, Kauaʻi, or Maui. Each county police agency holds its own initial arrest records and publishes different online views. The statewide overview explains what a booking record may contain.
- State custody after intake: Use Hawaiʻi SAVIN, the DCR custody and notification service, or the site's VINE Arrest Check. SAVIN covers people entered into the state system; it may not show a fresh arrest or a person still at a police cellblock.
- Court case or outcome: Search eCourt Kōkua for public case information. A court case search is not a live custody roster, and sealed or confidential records may not appear.
- State criminal-history record or expungement: The Hawaiʻi Criminal Justice Data Center explains its repository services, while its expungement page gives the current application route. The arresting agency or Judiciary may hold separate records.
- DLE record or report: For a Hawaiʻi Department of Law Enforcement record, use its UIPA request page and official request form. DLE's release archive is not a complete daily arrest log, and the agency has no universal public booking roster.
- Federal, immigration, or historical record: Check the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator for federal prison custody, the ICE detainee locator for immigration detention, or the U.S. Marshals District of Hawaiʻi for its fugitive and district information. For historic state material, begin with the Hawaiʻi State Archives.
Custody can shift from county police to DCR, a court process, or a federal agency. Do not send this site a SAVIN PIN, phone number, email address, date of birth, identification, or case papers. Requests and corrections should go to the custodian or publisher that holds the specific record.
